What happens between your first design consultation and your finished bespoke kitchen? Here’s the complete step-by-step process, from brief to handover.
Understanding each stage before you begin removes uncertainty, helps you prepare properly, and lets you get more from every conversation with your designer.
A genuine consultation about you, your space, your household, and what you need your kitchen to do. Covers how you use your kitchen, your aesthetic brief, practical requirements, and budget and timeline.
Every dimension of the kitchen space measured, ceiling heights, window and door positions, location of services, structural features. This is what allows a bespoke kitchen to fit exactly.
Presented to the client, discussed, and refined until every detail is right.
A complete specification document and fixed-price quotation, every element clearly described and priced. No hidden extras. Sign-off triggers the start of manufacturing.
Your bespoke kitchen is built to specification. Carcasses cut to exact dimensions, doors manufactured and finished, drawer boxes assembled. Typically 8–14 weeks.
Walls plastered and primed, floor structure sound, services in their final positions. Coordinate trades in parallel with manufacturing.
Installation sequence: carcass installation and levelling → worktop templating → door and drawer front hanging → worktop fitting → appliance installation → splashback fitting → hardware and finishing details.
Every door checked for alignment, every drawer tested, every appliance confirmed operational, every finish inspected against the specification.
The process works best when you’re clear at consultation stage, engage fully with design development, make decisions on time, and have your site ready when the kitchen arrives.
