Ruth McKenna started designing kitchens when she graduated with a degree in Industrial Design in 1999 at the
National College of Art and Design.Her passion for kitchens stemmed from a love of food and a deep curiosity about how people live. With over 25 years experience and a career spanning architectural project management and residential interiors, Ruth offers valuable insights into interior trends. She can spot a one-hit-wonder a mile away and values quality, timeless design above any trend. For Ruth, truly good design delivers a beautiful space that actually works for the humans who use it, solving problems quietly.
Over her career, Ruth has appeared on RTE’s ‘Beyond the Hall Door’ and has collaborated with one of Ireland’s favourite architect Dermot Bannon on
‘Room to Improve’. She also project managed the interior fitout of the well loved
Shelbourne Hotel on Dublin’s St Stephen’s Green, a real career highlight. When she’s not busy designing beautiful kitchens at
‘Kube Long Mile Road’, you might find Ruth on her mountain bike, flying down single track trails in Co. Wicklow.
