Brief: The aim for this bright kitchen space, was to achieve a modern look and feel while retaining some traditional aspects. The client wanted to create a welcoming space for gathering while maximising storage opportunities and allowing room in the design to feature some decorative features. A walk-in pantry and coffee dock were to be incorporated along with a traditional range cooker and American Fridge Freezer.

Design: An L shape layout with additional height across all wall units and storage on both sides of the island utilises the full potential of the space available. The Flame Scarf Oak door was chosen for its texture and warmth and is paired with a handle-less track for a contemporary approach. Open shelving breaks up the units, while a coffee dock unit hides appliances away behind closed doors keeping the worktops clear. A Double sink, pull-out tap and integrated appliances complete the modern feel.

The worktop is Calacatta Gold offering a lovely contrast to the dark units, it has a mitered edge to give a generous depth and is finished with a solid timber butcher block in the centre of the space.
