Kube Featured Kitchen. Jane and Graham, Dublin 3

15th March 2023| News

We were fortunate to have been invited to meet with Jane and photograph her kitchen in 2018. Jane and Graham’s Kube Kitchen was a stunning cornerstone of their household. It was gratifying to listen to Jane’s stories about how their kitchen is central to their lives and how it has impacted their household and lifestyle. Jane loves to cook and experiment with new dishes and appreciates having a kitchen that is both highly-functional and safe to share the joy of cooking with her family.

Kube Lux, a kitchen to covet. Featuring: high gloss lacquer white and quartz grey doors. Kansas Oak breakfast bar with matching splash back. Silestone Quartz, Maple Stellar worktop.

Jane was almost appointed Kube brand ambassador on the spot and was glowing with pride showing us around her new Kube kitchen. She has a great sense of humour and when asked how she felt about her Kube kitchen she answered, “Like Cinderella” partly because their wish has been granted and partly because of all the interests they pursue in their new kitchen.

Kitchen Design.

This Kitchen was designed by Neil Dunne in Kube Kitchen’s Balbriggan showroom. “On this project, there was an initial hurdle in trying to establish the most suitable location for the kitchen so we could fit in everything that Jane and Graham wanted and for everything to flow. We toyed with a few ideas until we agreed on the most suitable location.

Jane and Graham decided on a two-toned option on the kitchen fronts mixing the White with the Quartz Grey both in a Lacquered High Gloss finish, for the internal carcass colour they decided to go with Quartz Grey.

The brief was also to make this kitchen warm and homely so we brought this into the island with the Kansas Oak breakfast bar and matching splashback on the wall behind the hob.

Kitchen Appliances.

“The extractor is in a white glass finish which blends in nicely with the white high gloss units, it sits over an 80cm induction hob. There is an integrated tall larder fridge and larder freezer side by side flanked by a tall larder storage unit with internal pull out drawers.

On the other side are the Siemens StudioLine ovens. One is a full-size single oven with built-in microwave, pulseSteam, and Home Connect wifi connectivity being the highlights of the many features these appliances have to offer. This is lined up with the compact fullSteam oven that sits above the warming drawer. Alongside the oven units is a broom closet housing the vacuum cleaner, sweeping brush, mop and other cleaning products.

The island houses a fully integrated dishwasher and integrated washing machine. Sitting alongside the sink unit is the pull out bins. To maximise storage we incorporated reduced depth base units on the back of the island. The worktop is Silestone Quartz in Maple Stellar and was supplied by Miller Brothers.”
