x x Your teenager’s bedroom should be a space tailored to their personal style and interests. It’s very important to include them when deciding their room design and décor, but at the same time you need to put limits on it. Ideally, the design should fit in with the rest of the home. If not, see which elements can you agree with to keep and the ones you prefer to replace.
Include big wardrobes to allow enough storage, and a comfy study area if possible. Let them decorate these areas in any way they like. Notice if there’s enough light in the room to make a better decision when selecting the colour scheme of the room.
Remember, you want to give them a space which reflects their personality through shape and colour, a room that can be their sanctuary. Basically, a space where they feel safe and at ease. Show them inspiring photos and discuss their preferences. Involve them in the whole process and you will be able to make their dream bedroom possible.
